TAO PORCHON-LYNCH “Light As A Feather”

Tao Porchon-Lynch (August 13, 1918 – February 21, 2020) was the world’s oldest yoga teacher at 101. She worked with students in India, France, Dubai, China, Russia, and throughout the United States. Before teaching yoga, Tao had a long and varied career. She was a model, actress, film producer, international film distributor, television executive, publisher, and a co-founder of the American Wine Society. She also received several hundred first-place titles in competitive dancing, culminating with her appearance on America's Got Talent at the age of 97. As a child, growing up in the mountains in India and France, she was personal friends and marched with Gandhi. She also assisted Jewish families who were escaping from the Nazis, during which time she came to know Charles de Gaulle. Tao’s philosophy was, “There is nothing we cannot do if we harness the power within us.”
